What will a tournament trip to Anaheim really cost?
Anaheim is a major convention and tournament destination. Separate the required competition trip from optional vacation spending so attractions do not quietly become part of the tournament budget.
Build the Anaheim budget in five buckets
1. Event + team costs
Start with the amount your club or team actually charges your athlete, then add spectator admission only when confirmed.
2. Hotel
Use the final checkout total, including taxes, destination or parking charges and any required stay-and-play block.
3. Getting there
Compare airfare for every traveler against driving. For flying, include baggage and airport-to-hotel transportation.
4. Getting around
Do not automatically assume a rental car. Compare it with rideshare or walking if your hotel and venue are close.
5. Food + vacation
Keep meals required for the trip separate from theme parks, attractions, souvenirs and extra vacation nights.
